The episode starts off with Naruto continuing his training to master the Rasengan while Jiraiya consumes an enormous amount of sake. Jiraiya tells Naruto that he won't give him any help with the training; the move took the 4th Hokage three years to master it. It would take Naruto three steps in order to perfect the move. Jiraiya tells Naruto that the Rasengan (though he doesn't call it Rasengan yet) does not require hand seals and is used by turning your chakra. A brief, but what seems like an eternal lecture is given to Naruto about Chakra control and Chakra direction. Jiraiya and Naruto continue their discussion as Jiraiya informs Naruto that this ability is 2nd in the ranks, in other words, an extremely strong and powerful move.
We are then taken to the hotel in which Naruto and Jiraiya are staying in. Naruto wakes up, opens his door, and spots a cat on the floor. We see Naruto outside telling himself that he will complete the first task in three days. He continues his training. After a day of hard work, we are back in the hotel. Naruto and Jiraiya are both sleeping.
Jiraiya, sleeping, knocks his arm onto Naruto, waking him up. Naruto says that Jiraiya smells of alcohol, as he examines the chart on his neck [which we later find out to be a hooker/stripper's chart -- for every day Jiraiya goes to the joint, he gets a stamp on the chart]. Naruto goes down for breakfast, and we see that his hand shakes, due to the overwhelming amount of training that he put into the waterballoon the day before. After, there is a humorous scene involving Naruto taking a shit. His hand is still numb and there are flashbacks of discussions with Jiraiya. Naruto gets up (without whiping his ass, mind you! >_<) and stares at the toilet as his waste washes down the drain.
After the shit scene, Naruto sees that same cat playing with the waterballoon. The cat moves it back and forth, until it pops. This gives Naruto an idea. He tests it out on the waterballoon, pops it, and then wakes Jiraiya up by splashing water on him. He shows Jiraiya (who doesn't seem interested) his new ability to pop the waterballoon by controlling the amount of chakra his palm emits and grasping the balloon with his other hand in different directions. Jiraiya goes down for breakfast and Naruto explains that he knew that in order to pop the waterballoon, he had to spin the chakra in multiple directions, while the balloon was in one hand, he would prod it with the other to change the directions of the water currents within the balloon.
Jiraiya admits to himself that Naruto is a pretty amazing person to figure out his own way of doing things. They then begin part 2 of the training. This time, the same process is going to happen as the first, except this time, Naruto has to pop a regular rubber ball (much like a tennis ball). Jiraiya shows him and does it easily, while Naruto has quite some trouble. Eventually, he uses all of his chakra, and puts a tiny hole into the ball, enough for the air to flow out of the hole. Jiraiya congratulates him, with a blue popsicle, and draws a symbol on Naruto's palm that much resembles a comma. The episode ends and we see the next episode preview that obviously involves more training for Naruto.

Wha, that's what inane boredom at 1:00 in the morning will do to you. Oh well. Oh, and I read 219. Sasuke is gonna kick Naruto's asssssss. *sings* Naruto does nothing except use his Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. You'd think that he'd learn a few more moves. And I'm really hoping that Sakura is training with Tsunade now (though, I know it won't happen, since my fic is about it, which generally means that it won't happen =P). Fat chance, but oh well.
