That's true, but I wonder why both Kyuubi and Itachi have long collars. Perhaps they have one themselves, but they can control it. It could be sealed, like Sasuke's.
Ah, so you were talking about those images. Forgot about that. It would be logical for Sasuke to pull his collar down for two reasons. One, he might not know that Itachi knows about his cursed seal. Notice on Chapter 147 page 10 that Itachi says it to himself. The rectangles usually represent abstract thoughts. Or, perhaps he cannot still fully control the Chidori. I imagine that the immense power that can cut through lightning and sounds like a thousand birds chirping would be rather hard to control and such.
